Entertainment: Big Brother Naija: Organisers announce airing date, TV channels for 2019 edition

 Organisers of Africa’s popular reality TV show, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija),
on Monday, announced that the 2019 edition will premier on June 30th
2019.
 According to a statement sent to DAILY POST, the fourth season tagged:
‘Forget Wahala’, will premiere on Sunday, 30th of June 2019 across all DSTV
packages on channel 198 and on GOtv Max and Plus on channel 29.
The statement added that this year’s Big Brother Naija will be hosted in
Nigeria for the first time since 2006
Speaking on the announcement, the CEO of MultiChoice Nigeria, Mr. John
Ugbe, said, “The Big Brother franchise remains one of the most exciting
content options available to viewers across the world. Big Brother Naija,
which is easily the most popular version in Africa, is finally here and for the
first time since 2006, the show will be hosted in Nigeria.
”Our viewers should expect the very best of entertainment, intrigue and
drama, all delivered with excellent production standards straight from a
house here in Nigeria.

Total Plans To Sell Stake In Nigerian Oil Block

French oil major, Total is seeking to sell its 12.5 per cent stake in the giant Bonga deepwater oilfield off the coast of Nigeria, in an effort to adjust the energy company’s Africa portfolio amid a broad expansion. Reuters quoted banking and industry sources as saying that the stake in Oil Mining Lease (OML) 118, which is located some 120 kilometres (75 miles) off the Niger Delta, is valued at up to $750 million. Investment bank, Rothschild, is said to be running the sale process for the oil major. Rothschild and a spokeswoman for Total declined to comment. OML 118 is operated by Royal Dutch Shell, which holds a 55 per cent interest. Exxon Mobil holds a 20 per cent stake in the block, while Italy’s Eni and Total each hold 12.5 per cent. The sale process is part of Total’s plan to sell $5 billion of assets around the world by 2020, the sources said.
