Saki East And ATISBO PDP State Constituency Aspirants Say No To Riliwanu Saminu (Wale Canada) As Consensus
Riliwanu Saminu a.k.a Wale Canada was alledged to have gotten the ticket to contest for state house of assembly election on a platter of gold in 2019. The reason he has been failing his constituents without being ready to show remorse for his irresponsive and irresponsible represention in the last three years and because he believed he could get whatever he wants from the governor as a serving state Honourable.
One of the PDP stakeholders in ATISBO who confided in our reporter said that the people he is representing nearly made a conclusion for his recall from the nineth assembly. But they only considered that his tenure would soon be over.
Moreso, the anonymous stakeholder said it was a rude shock to the aspirants among whom were a few that have obtained nomination and interest forms that Wale Canada that has lost popularity in the two local government areas he is representing has been considered as consensus candidate to represent PDP in the 2023 elections.
He further stated that the action might jeopardize the image casted for His Excellency Gov Seyi Makinde and the chances to win more votes for his second term. He also advised the Governor candidly to stop imposition of candidates saying that ” TI IDI BA BAJE, TI ONIDI LO N DA” . He strongly warned the governor not to thread the path of late Abiola Ajimobi, the immediate past governor of Oyo State.
To confirm the true situation in Saki East and ATISBO, Our source was in Ago-Amodu, Sepeteri, Ofiki, Irawo, Oje Owode and Ogbooro today, the voices gathered was that a transparent PDP primary should be held and whoever emerges shall represent the constituency.
A few of the people interviewed by the news men also corroborated what was reportedly said above that the governor might lose the two council areas, if he dare impose Wale Canada on them because they have spent the last three years as if they did not have a state honourable representing them.
Finally,When contacted on phone, the aspirants from the constituency also spoke in unison by insisting on party primary for peace, fairness and justice.
The sitting Honourable even was telling some people that he knew he can never get people to vote for him again because of his antecedent.
